Utilizing our extensive training and experience in architecture and construction, Brad Krefman Interior Design has the capability to design from the ground up. We can do everything from moving walls to designing custom end-tables. Our expertise in finishes and our rich background in myriad design aesthetics give us the ability to cater to all design styles.
Whether in California’s wine country, the beaches on Long Island, or a highrise in Chicago, our interiors always reference context, purpose, and place.
Owner & Principal
Brad Krefman
Rooted in a philosophy of thoughtful simplicity, Brad Krefman approaches design with an unwavering commitment to communication, trust, and the art of listening. For him, these guiding principles are essential, forming the foundation for each client relationship and creating a space where creativity can thrive.
Brad’s approach blends technical skill with a love for timeless, effortless design. His work is influenced by sunny resort destinations like Palm Springs and St. Barth, infusing a sense of relaxed luxury into his spaces. Meanwhile, his frequent travels through Europe inspire his more classical and traditional environments, adding layers of depth and elegance.
His design perspective was enriched by early career stints with renowned firms Thierry Despont and Howard Backen Architecture, where he honed his craft alongside industry greats.
Brad holds both a BFA from NYU and a MS in Interior Architecture from Pratt Institute.
Senior Designer
Carleigh Simpson
Carleigh brings a penchant for problem solving and excellent project management skills to Brad Krefman Interior Design. Her previous work experiences exposed Carleigh to all facets of the design industry including stints working in fashion design, landscape design and permaculture.
Her career in interior design blossomed while working alongside Brad at Backen Gillam and Kroeger Architects. There, Carleigh was able to work on a multitude of projects ranging from high-end residences to international wineries.
At Brad Krefman Interior Design, Carleigh can fully exercise her managing skills and design talents as Senior Interior Designer. Her attention to detail and incomparable work ethic reinforce our commitment to excellence.
She is quick on her feet, a color maven, and incessantly positive.
Carleigh holds a BA in Interior Design from Florida State University with minors in French and Art History.

Having grown up in Indonesia, William offers a unique perspective
on design aesthetics and styles and brings a fresh set of design skills to Brad Krefman Interior Design.
Well versed in the technical drafting and 3D rendering, William assists the design team in all aspects of the design process.
William holds a bachelor's degree in Interior Architecture and Design from San Francisco's Academy of Art University.
Operations
Eric McFarland
Eric brings over two decades of experience in residential real estate sales and management to his role in Operations. His career has been shaped by a deep understanding of how interiors function and evolve, allowing him to maximize both their value and purpose. With a discerning eye and a talent for executing seamless processes, Eric is able to blend strategic vision with a natural aptitude for problem-solving.
His expertise extends beyond operations into the creative world, with years of hands-on experience remodeling homes and an unusual knack for spatial planning. In an industry where details matter, Eric ensures that projects are not only well-executed but that they thrive under clear systems and collaboration with clients. His ability to unify people, processes, creates a foundation where design and operations work hand in hand, ensuring each project achieves both beauty and precision.
Eric holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Southern California.
