Cozy is king in this room. The rosewood paneling was already here, and honestly, it was too beautiful not to highlight. Its rich, warm tones provided a departure point to just lean into but the rooms needed some softening. We introduced textures and tones that would lighten the mood without losing that cozy, masculine vibe.
The alpaca carpet was an easy choice—it’s incredibly soft and adds this nice, quiet luxury underfoot. I like how it grounds the furniture without competing with the wood. The seating arrangement was all about making it a place where you’d actually want to sit and hang out, whether you’re reading, having a drink, or just putting your feet up. The clients really wanted that comfort factor, so we went with this custom ottoman-slash-coffee-table that slides. I love pieces that can multitask—it just makes life easier.
The sofa has a blocky shape, which I think works well against the softer textures in the room, and those woven leather sides add a detail that’s subtle but really cool once you notice it. We paired it with a sculptural chair to break things up and give the space a bit more visual interest.
