The Primary Bathroom

Bathrooms can sometimes feel really sterile, which we didn’t want.  We asked ourselves, “How do we make this space feel like a retreat but still practical?”  Fortunately the room has great volume—tall ceilings and lots of space—which offered up the opportunity to hang a dramatic ceiling light.  We selected a ceramic pendant by Elsa Foulon and love how sculptural it is—it brings this beautiful focal point that immediately elevates the room without feeling over the top. The organic curves soften the architectural lines of the room and the way it casts light adds a nice warm glow.

What I like most about this bathroom is that it feels like a place you’d actually want to spend time in, not just rush through. It’s got that spa-like vibe without trying too hard—just thoughtful materials, good lighting, and a few key details that make it feel special.
